There is no reason to get angry with God when we only received heartache, let down, disappointment, and pain due to cutting him out and doing things on our own. When we do this, we can only receive what someone has. We, on our own, cannot give ourselves good, lasting, blessings, joy, peace, and fulfillment. We don't have it outside of God! Satan can only give us what he has: curses, pain, sickness, death, etc...God gives life and blessings, and peace because He IS all of those things! Satan can only give a counterfeit of those things because he is not the source of true love, peace, blessing, and life, or truth! How arrogant of man to reject the giver of life and blessing, and then turn around and want blessings and life to be bestowed upon us. How on earth does God put up with us? Because of Jesus! His sacrifice and penalty, that's how. God is gracious and abundant in love, mercy and grace. He does not treat us as we deserve, instead, he showers us with his love even when we reject his love. How does he do this? Giving the very breath we breathe. He is a good God. With him, it doesn't mean everyday will be sunshine and rainbows, but he will give those who trust in him the grace to withstand the storms with his presence and his promises! Think about that today, and choose to allow God to fill you with himself!
