Restoration for His Children!

Today, I'm going to continue what I started talking about in my last blog. God talks about restoration quite a bit in the book of Isaiah. In Isiah 61:1-3 we can see what God gives his children (born again believers). He desires to restore us and give us more than we could ever imagine. Keep in mind as you read this that everything starts as a seed. It has to be cultivated; walking by faith and not by sight. Isaiah 61:1-3---> this is what God gives His people in exchange for bondage in the kingdom of darkness:

Good News:  To humble and afflicted (poor) the poor that we're not poor anymore! In order to receive the Good News, we have to humble ourselves. We cannot receive the Good News being arrogant and proud.

Healing: To the brokenhearted. He heals us. All that has been broken and wounded by sin and walking with the devil is healed when we come to the Father through Christ!

Freedom: We are no longer captives of the enemy! (Isaiah 49:25) No longer bound to the prison of sin and guilt.

God's Favor: No longer recipients of God's vengeance and wrath! (Joel 2:25)

Day of God's vengeance and retribution: For our enemies. God will punish all of our enemies and repay them for the pain and suffering that they caused us. 

Comfort: Instead of mourning and sorrowfulness, the Lord gives us comfort.

Crown of beauty: Instead of ashes, which is a sign of deep sadness, mourning, and grief

Garment of Praise: Instead of the spirit of heaviness (depression) or being just down and out.

All of this is what we get from God when we come to Him through Christ Jesus! He has only good for His children. We must receive this by faith. God is not our enemy. All this goes hand in hand with Isaiah 54:4-6 & 62:4-5. The Lord God is a restorer! He will deal with the adversary for dealing with us!
