Destined For Greatness

So many times I hear "I know God has something for my life,I'm destined for greatness!" Well that's great, but now let me ask a question;Do you really believe you are destined for greatness? If so what are you doing about it?Sitting by idle and watching the world pass you by is not gonna cut it.Nor is doing what everybody else is doing gonna make it happen. You have to be willing to do what you have never done before. You have to be willing to sacrifice some things. You are going to have to tell some friends goodbye, some habits are going to have to kick the bucket, and discipline is a must! You will have to fight, really fight for what God has for you because there are elements working against you. When you are destined for greatness, you will not fit in with the "norm."Can you handle that? You may have to walk alone sometime, may be the only one who says "no" to fornication,gossip,drinking,lying,scheming.....are you destined for greatness? You will even have to do the unthinkable-love them that hurt, reject, betray,&misuse you.And then there's the whole standing up for righteousness thing....are you destined for greatness? The purpose and plans that God has for our lives are wonderful, but we first have to believe in him, then allow his love to encompass us,and be a vessel for those around us.So you believe you're an eagle? Why are you clucking with the chickens? You say God has anointed you for an awesome ministry, what are you doing to bring it to pass?Oh yes we have our part to do in this thing called life.We reap what we sow whether we mean to or not.So as I stated before,so you say you're destined for greatness,be about it don't just talk about it.Oh, I see you're waiting, well don't wait too long-you may, hearing the words, "how did your life glorify me?"look up and realize you waited too long.
